What Would Be The Best Option To Connect My Laptop To My Lcd Tv?

I have an acer aspire 5102WLMi (about 3 years old) and a new Sony Bravia LCD tv. On the tv there is a bunch of inputs so i could probably use any type of connection there. The problem is that i don’t have a s-video plug on my laptop and somehow the vga screen connector won’t work to connect them. Do you know about any adapter or different connections i can try?

    Maybe you need a VGA to DVI converter. Does the VGA cable plug into your laptop, but not the TV?http://www.google.com/products/catalog?c…
