I’m looking to purchase an lcd tv, but in red bold letters on the website in mentions that: “Note: Tuner Not Included”. What does this mean?

This means you should have EITHER a Cable box, a Satellite box or a VCR that has a working tuner in it…..
Or you can get something like a Samsung ATSC terrestrial reciever so you can enjoy your local TV stations in HD….
It means that you will not be able to pick up over-the-air broadcasts. If you normally use cable or satellite, this is not an issue.
it means it a monitor and not a tv
means you can’t watch nothing unless you buy a external tuner, like a cable box, vcr, or satellite dish
Answers above saying you need an external tuner for antenna, cable or satellite viewing are all correct.
This monitor was made to be cheaper because the manufacturer knew many people would use it with cable or satellite boxes and because the manufacturer did not want to pay the royalty fee for the digital tuner (at least the ATSC tuner in the US digital and digital HDTV sets has a royalty associated with its use in a set).
mean’s dont buy it, it was built for computers.
Yeah, I wouldn’t buy a tv like that, especially from a website. Having no tuner means that the television would not be able to recieve over the air analog or digital broadcasts. This would require a seperate box (source) in order to watch tv. A satellite or digital cable box would be all you need but you would not be able to watch over the air (free) HD.
