What Christmas Gift Would Be Good To Get For My Friend And My Family?

I was wondering what christmas gift would be good to get for my friend and my family?
I am working so money is not a problem but I want to know some suggestion what would be the best way to know what to get my family and friends a christmas gift.
This is the first time asking here.

Try to think of something that would be useful to that person, we all have so much “stuff” (nicknack’s and trinkets, candles we don’t burn because they’re too pretty… lol). Despite money not being an issue, gift buying really does add up… and quite unnecessarily too. In this economic time of belt tightening and living within our means, you may make someone feel uncomfortable by getting a pricier item… even if you can afford it.
People always appreciate homemade gifts over bought ones, and treasured more because of the effort involved. My mother has always been crafty, and has an eye for looking at things and figuring out how to make a similar one. She has made beautiful wreaths, topiary trees, pot warmers, candles, baked goods in a designed “elf basket” or “tuxedo box”, place-mats, etc. Often with reused items, dollar store items, and even nature itself. She would collect pine cones and spray them silver or gold, take some sticks/twigs of various sizes between 6″ and 1.5′ (sprayed them white to look like snow), add a big red bow and possibly some bells and it was a hit! Icing sugar looks like snow, add to displays and centre pieces.
There are many ideas online if you are willing to search. Myself, I plan to make potpourri jars with lights (as the lights are on, the potpourri warms and gives off the aroma, and looks so pretty!). Simply take a glass jar (from spaghetti sauce, jam, salsa, etc.), 25 strand LED christmas small lights and arrange inside jar with potpourri witht he cord hanging out. Place a doily around the top and tie with a nice bow. The lights cost $5 (or less on sale), potpourri is maybe $1 or so, and visit a dollar store for the doily and bow.

    Michael,
That’s a good question. With so many gifts and options, it can get difficult finding the right gift.
To start with, I think, it would help if you know what the individual tastes are so that you can begin focusing on the types of gift. For example, if they are into electronic games, or do they like to read books, or maybe a ticket to their favorite show in town. Or you can also give them a gift card to their favorite store.
More recently, I have come across a unique and a great gift idea called a Ribbon Gift Card! Basically it is giving your friend or loved one a gift of choice, instead of one particular gift — The friend will get a gift album where he can choose one from! It has a great variety to choose from and it can be for any budget range.
I have written about it more in my blog, be sure to check it out:

    All the best,

Give nice Leather gloves. It is something that they will cherish. You can also give knitted gloves too.
They are lots of pretty colors out there like purple, red. etc.
