What Are My Rights As A Consumer With Repeatedly Faulty Lcd Tv?

I bought a LCD TV online 18 months ago and since then it has been repaired twice and now gone for third time. Its the same thing every time the power circuit. Does anyone know my rights as its oyt of guarantee now, and Im not satisfied with this product at all.

    depnds on the length of the guarantee - normally free gaurantee is 12 months and then u can pay for extended guarantee - if this item is not covered after 12 months then u have to pay for the repairs yourself unfortunately

    Guarantees are in addition to your legal rights and under the sale of goods act a item must be fit for purpose and be free from defects.
    repeated failure of one item is legal proof that that item or part has a fault and is not fit for purpose.
    you can get items replace or refunded under the sale of goods acts withing a reasonable period but that may vary from 2 year to 20 depending on the item . for domestic items 5 years is often the guide.
    You need to threaten to take court action via small claims courts under Sales of goods acts for the TV having a faulty power supply with known and reproducible defect and you should get your money back.
    be prepared to take it all the way as trading standards do not offer support in these cases only in group actions.
