You need to buy screen wipes, which are specifically used for LCD type screens. It has been advised that other household products are not ideal for items like these.
I bought a pack of screen wipes from Amazon for about a £5 for 100 and I use these for our LCD tele, as well as the laptop and the PC screen.

The screen wipes are good but you can also use a soft cloth (micro fiber is best) and glasses cleaner (not windex but the stuff you buy at an optomotrists office to clean reading glasses). Spray the cleaner on the cloth (never on the tv) and gently wipe the screen. Paper towels will scratch your screen so never use them. Wipies are an interesting idea!

LCD TV screens are fragile. They scratch easily and can be damaged by low impacts. You will need to do something about your child repeatedly poking your TV screen or you will suffer permanent damage. Try a sheild placed infront of the LCD TV screen. Or consider a plasma TV which has a much more durable screen, especially around children.

Leave some of her favorite toys out , when she touches the screen , scold her and place a toy where she can see it but can’t reach it.
It really is a tedious process , but it worked for keeping my son off of things on the coffee table.

I also bought LCD T.V and it came with a cleaning cloth which I have never used. I simply spray some of my window cleaning stuff onto a clean cloth and wipe it over then turn the cloth to the dry side and wipe over again.

Glass cleaner and paper towels. AT 5 years old your daughter really is old enough to know the difference between right and wrong - she’ll grow up having NO respect for anyones property if you let her carry on !!!!

Rub an eraser at the places where it is smudged.Dont apply too much pressure.
This wont work on the places where it is scratched.
