Is It Possible To Make Your Wii Think You Are In A Different Region Than You Are? If So, How Do You Do It?

For example, if you had a US Wii, but you are in Tawian, can you tell your Wii you are in the US so it will get the US firmware updates and not the JAP ones? It would be REALLY bad to update a US Wii with a non-US firmware update. Brickola!

no, you’d have to mod your Wii.
    which would void your warranty.

Go on ‘Wii’ option (opposite of where you receive mail from the Wii i.e. when you become a pro on something on Wii sports) and select ‘DATA’ and change the country setting.

Well, US Wiis only get US updates, it doesn’t matter what region you are in.
