I have a wii with the 4.0 menu installed and homebrew beta 8 version installed as well. I have never really used the homebrew channel for anything other than simple apps, but i want to install Softmii 2.1.1 on my wii. I dont know why when i try to install it my wii denies it with an error in homebrew. How exactly can i get softmii installed on my 4.0 wii?

you cant install apps on a 4.00 wii nintendo patched it.
follow the readme but first off definitely update the homebrew channel to 1.01
